CopyPaste provides a rich set of tools or “Utilities” which operate on selected items and on the contents of the clipboards. They are divided into text, pictures, date/time, internet and miscellaneous Utilities.

The CopyPaste Utilities can be accessed:
1. from the buttons at the bottom of the Clip Extender Palette,
2. from the buttons at the bottom of the Clipboard Viewer window,
3. from the “CopyPaste Utilities” submenu of the Edit menu if the “Utilities Menu” item is checked in the preferences.
When the CopyPaste Utilities operate on a selected object, the result is pasted at the cursor location: any selected object is replaced.
When the Clipboard Viewer is open, the CopyPaste Utilities work only on the clip in the viewer window, not on the current selection in a running application. The modified clip is stored and not pasted automatically.
In the CopyPaste Preferences is a button called "Utilities Setup...". This button causes a dialog box to pop up which allows you to customize the Utilities settings. For example, you can assign a hot key to any frequently used Utility, or prevent unused Utilities from appearing in the menus.
